Flower Care Instructions:

The large inventory of fresh flowers Your Dutch Flower Market has available for you on a daily basis are fresher than other conventional flower stores, florists and supermarkets. MyDutchFlowerMarket.com receives its flowers from all over the world. We ship directly from our sources and farms directly to the store. These flowers go directly into the rose or flower arrangements you order from us for delivery or for that event you want us to put together.

Withe volume of flowers we sell the inventory constantly rotates and constantly changes.

Flower Care Instruction For Roses:

When you receive your roses in a vase;

  1. Place the vase of roses away from direct sunlight, heat and drafts. Any of these factors will drastically cut back the vase life of your beautiful roses.
  2. On day 2 or 3 re-cut the stems, change the water and place the roses back into the vase. Do so every 2-3 days afterwards.
  3. Take of any outside guard petals that you do not like the look's of. These guard petals are there to protect the roses during shipment and give that natural feel to the roses.
  4. With proper care your roses should open within days and hold up well for at least a week

The same approach as described for roses above applies to all other flowers.

Your DutchFlowerMarket does not believe in the small packets of "flower food". These flower food packages work very well. We found that customers would put these packages into the water and "forget" the flowers until their beautiful roses or arrangements died pre-maturely. The most important steps are written above. Especially where you change the water.

Imagine your car not getting fresh oil when needed and you forget? You have to change the oil or at least top it of. The engine will stop eventually...?

A small amount, small shot glass, of your cheapest Gin does wonders. Customers have reported double life span on bulb
flowers and at least 50% longer life on their roses in a vase.

Flower Care Instruction For Flower Arrangements:

  1. Place your vase of flowers away from direct sunlight, heat and drafts. Any of these factors will
drastically cut down the vase life of your beautiful flowers. Some flowers get affected more than others.
  2. On day 2 or 3 grab your flowers with both hands and have someone change the water in the vase.
Rinse the vase well. Put the flowers back best you can into the vase. Repeat this procedure every
    2-3 days or as needed.
  3. Try to have any leaves not reach the water or about 1 inch above the water line. Leaves will dirty
up the water and cause clogging of the stems and will prohibit the stems from drinking.
  4. Take out any stems or leaves you do not like at any time. Try not to have one or two flowers with
shorter vase life spoil you enjoying those flowers that hold up better.
  5. We use only flowers that are in season so that your arrangement will consist of the strongest
possible flowers for that time of the year.
